ombre hair

You might have heard the term "ombre" thrown around lately and not been sure what it was. Ombre nails. Ombre demin. Ombre cake. And the most popular trend now-ombre hair.

Ombre refers to a gradual transition of color- so in the case of ombre hair, it usually starts with darker roots and ends with blonde ends. Some are more drastic than others, but it's supposed to look somewhat natural, like you were out surfing all summer and then the blonde grew out over fall and winter. You've seen ombre hair rocked by stars like Khloe Kardashian and Giuliana Rancic. And has anyone else noticed that Miss Carrie Bradshaw herself might have been the original ombre sporter?

Make sure the lighter part doesn't start above your jaw, or it could just look like actual roots or a botched dye job.

You can also try colorful combinations- like blonde hair with light pink ends.

    1. Not sure who she is- I found her picture on a blog. It might be the author? Or just a random picture from Pinterest.
